Overview
CEIS Power is seeking an EHS Culture & Procurement Safety Leader to foster a proactive safety culture and lead procurement functions for an LNG equipment storage and preservation site. This position is on a contract basis with a motivated individual who can perform well under pressure and adapt to rapid change and redirection. Requirements for the role include 3-5 years of experience in EHS and procurement, preferably within LNG, energy, or industrial operations. Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other relevant regulatory standards. Certification in EHS-related disciplines (such as OSHA 30-Hour, CSP, or CIH) is a plus. Experience developing safety programs, leading cultural transformation, and managing procurement processes. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills with a focus on safety advocacy. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external vendors. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for risk mitigation and performance management. Proficiency in safety data management, reporting tools, and procurement systems. Responsibilities
Champion a safety-first culture across the organization by embedding EHS values in operational and business decisions. Develop and implement cultural transformation strategies to improve employee engagement, hazard awareness, and incident prevention. Facilitate safety culture workshops, campaigns, and recognition programs. Serve as a trusted advisor to executives and frontline leaders on safety leadership and compliance. Lead procurement processes for materials, equipment, and services ensuring compliance with EHS standards. Develop vendor selection criteria prioritizing safety, sustainability, and quality. Negotiate contracts with clear safety and compliance obligations. Manage supplier relationships to drive improvements in safety performance and cost efficiency. Partner with vendors/OEMs to align preservation, maintenance, and transportation with EHS requirements. Oversee vendor and contractor safety performance through audits and corrective actions. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety and procurement best practices. Drive corrective and preventive actions with suppliers. Establish and monitor KPIs for safety culture and procurement effectiveness. Analyze trends in incidents and supplier performance; report progress to executive leadership. Qualifications
