Senior Complex Contract Manager

The Complex Contract Manager will partner with internal Medica teams to negotiate complex and/or cross-functional contracts with Medica vendors. The role will lead negotiations for designated business areas and collaborate with Sourcing, Category Management, and Vendor Management to ensure contract terms meet business needs, pricing targets, performance requirements, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Key responsibilities Strategic Negotiation: Exercise independent judgment to determine the best negotiation strategy for the situation; develop and negotiate complex contracts including pricing, Medica-preferred terms and conditions, risk mitigation, and service level guarantees; manage high-pressure negotiations and multiple concurrent deals; collaborate with Medica attorneys to ensure terms comply with legal and regulatory requirements; analyze contract terms for improvement opportunities. Business Relationship Management: Establish and maintain relationships with business partners to align on strategic and tactical directions for vendor negotiations; collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to negotiate favorable terms and maintain positive relationships; communicate complex contract terms clearly to internal and external partners. Contract Management: Ensure contracts and relevant data are entered into Medica’s contract management tool. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field. Major: Business, Marketing, Finance, or Pre-Law preferred. 5 years of work experience beyond degree. Skills and Abilities Healthcare experience with familiarity with contracting trends; experience negotiating IT and/or Operations contracts preferred. Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, organized, and able to operate with a high degree of autonomy. Ability to manage multiple complex tasks and perform under pressure; advanced critical thinking. Enterprise mindset. Work arrangement: This position is an Office role requiring onsite work, on average, 3 days per week. Accepting candidates located near Madison, WI or Minnetonka, MN. Salary and benefits: The full salary grade for this position is $87,100 - $149,300. The typical hiring salary range is $87,100 - $130,620. Compensation and benefits include a generous total rewards package with medical, dental, vision, PTO, holidays, 401(k), and additional benefits.
