The Director of Value Analysis Strategy is responsible for leading a system-wide value analysis program with the goal of providing high quality, efficient and cost effective results. The Director maintains a streamlined method for standardizing and monitoring product/service selection, utilization, and costs. This position actively works with physicians, clinicians, and stakeholders in relation to product research, new product, service, equipment selection with the goal of optimal quality and value. Responsibilities

Establishes and maintains professional and ethical vendor relationships with all suppliers. Creates value through partnerships and collaboration. Also manages the Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) relationship and activities. In collaboration with Strategic Sourcing, maintains a process for the continually identification and prioritization of cost containment opportunities by targeting products, equipment or services that can be standardized, modified or eliminated to increase operational efficiency or reduce variation and cost. Implements and monitors organizational/service line standardization, contract compliance, product/service utilization, cost data and processes improvement & waste. Manages the implementation/conversion of approved products/services through collaboration with supply chain operations, educational resources, suppliers and specific user groups as needed. Ensure communication and education regarding product, service, and procedural changes occur in affected departments to include clinicians, physicians and management staff. Assists supply chain operations in the resolution of any problems associated with product conversions. Assist Supply Chain teams with substitutes as needed. Coordinate teams to work through any communication or education in regard to product/service substitutes. Mutually with Strategic Sourcing, manages the requests of new products and services, coordinates assessment of requests, and triages requests utilizing supply chain resources and clinical knowledge. Manages Product recall process. Investigates and analyzed root cause of product concerns and safety issues. Serves as a liaison with Risk Management for product related issues. Creates reporting schema on contracting activities and KPI’s. Tracks and trends progress on a monthly basis or as requested. Maintains reports on cost savings/increases, contract compliance and opportunities. Presents to Supply Chain Leadership on a monthly basis. Develops Value Analysis Program including development of charter, policy and procedure, schedule, cadence, and membership. Monitors the market and industry trends to be proactive in clinical Sourcing/Contracting, and benchmarks. Drive ongoing operation excellence and industry best practices to achieve established goals and objectives. Maintains a strong knowledge of suppliers and their capabilities, market trends and technological advances. Provides guidance and education to committee membership and end users on the product request process and their respective roles and responsibilities. Guides and advises product requestors and team members around expectations, timelines, work effort, decision-making and appeals using a consistently applied value analysis process. Coordinates agendas with committee chairs and assists with prioritization prior to schedule meetings and facilitates meetings along with committee chair. Maintains collaboration, partnership and synergies with all areas within Supply Chain. Serves as Supply Chain Management’s Clinical Liaison. Round with organizational or facility key department stakeholders and physicians to build relationships and increase customer service, identify opportunities, understand goals and initiatives, and discuss new service lines or physicians. Develops strategies and processes for reducing supply chain expense for procedure standardization and utilization, reimbursement, using evidence based clinical data, benchmarked data, best practices and data driven analytics. Coordinates the trial/evaluation process to assure proper use of products, use of appropriate evaluation criteria, documentation of feedback and that the right stakeholders are involved. Review product evaluation feedback to ensure that a written summary of post-trial/evaluation feedback and cost analysis are provided to the committee for final decision-making. Performs Clinical Review for minor and capital equipment. Qualifications

Education and Certification Requirements:

Masters (Required). Registered Nurse Compact License (RN LICENSE COMPACT) - Compact RN Multistate, Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL). Experience & Skills

Complexity of Work: Strong project management, organizational and process improvement skills. Analytic and critical thinking skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation and negotiation. Effective decision making and problem-solving skills. Ability to travel amongst facilities and conferences (both local and out of state). Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. Minimum of five (5) years of value analysis or related experience. Master’s degree in Business Administration, Clinical discipline or related field preferred; Bachelor’s degree plus five years of experience acceptable. Working Conditions
