Under the general supervision of the Sr. Director of Facilities Management and working with contractors as needed, responsible for managing FPI’s leased and owned properties and for responding to routine maintenance, repairs, new requests/work, and coordination with landlords / FPI / occupants / contractors; and other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manages FPI leased and owned properties.
Informs asset management, risk management, business management, and operations & maintenance functions of facilities management by supporting aspects of project management, capital planning, compliance & standards, environmental health & safety, real estate, contract and financial management, and operations.
Becomes familiar with the Leases for each leased location in order to understand tenant vs. landlord responsibilities.
Creates and maintains property reference materials, including relevant lease abstraction details, landlord vs. tenant responsibilities, maintenance logs and communication & problem histories.
Ensures all landlord and tenant maintenance responsibilities are fulfilled.
Escalates problems appropriately to Sr. Director and works with FPI Legal as needed.
Physically visits FPI ambulatory practices to conduct assessments and surveys properties for maintenance needs, general conditions, and challenges.
Conducts assessment of each location, including of new locations when established. Manages property inspections before leases are signed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School diploma or equivalent (GED) plus some College (accredited trade school or apprenticeship) 10 years building engineering / maintenance, field service, construction, facilities operation or related experience AutoCAD or drafting experience a plus HVAC experience with CFC certification a plus Journeymen Electrician qualifications a plus Project management experience a plus Total Rewards The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position.Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
