Workday’s Business Technology (BT) organization delivers value to business partners and customers. The BT Strategy team develops the long-term vision for BT, sets goals, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to plan and execute initiatives that meet business needs. About The Role

The Delivery Excellence Lead will champion the SDLC framework and agile foundations across BT, coaching teams to higher performance, and partnering with leaders to align delivery practices with business objectives. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement a comprehensive SDLC framework aligned with industry best practices and the needs of the BT organization. Define processes, standards, and guidelines for all SDLC phases (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance). Establish metrics and reporting to track SDLC performance, identify improvements, and demonstrate value to the organization. Drive adoption of the SDLC framework across BT initiatives to ensure consistent, standardized practices. Lead and mentor teams to support the SDLC framework and agile methodologies, with a focus on coaching for performance. Act as an agile coach to help teams mature agile principles and practices for optimized delivery. Stay current with industry trends in SDLC, recommending updates to the framework as needed. Establish and monitor KPIs to measure efficiency and effectiveness of IT operations, aligning metrics with strategic objectives. Generate and present regular performance reports to stakeholders on IT service delivery and project progress. Collaborate with architects, security SMEs, program managers, business analysts, developers, testers, business partners, and executives. Communicate clearly with all levels of the organization about SDLC initiatives and delivery excellence progress. Facilitate workshops and training to promote understanding and adoption of SDLC and agile best practices. Qualifications

This section consolidates required and desirable qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in software development and/or delivery enablement with a track record of implementing SDLC frameworks. Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies and their practical application. Expertise in IT operating models, metrics, and alignment with strategy. Ability to lead and influence executives and teams to adopt defined standards. Demonstrated ability to drive projects from conception to completion with measurable results and accountability for outcomes. Proactive in identifying improvement opportunities and implementing effective solutions without waiting for direction. Ability to operate in ambiguous situations and drive tasks to completion. Experience leading and mentoring teams, preferably in a matrixed environment, with coaching for performance. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong organizational and time management skills; growth mindset and enthusiasm for technology and innovation in a fast-paced environment. Workday Pay Transparency

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and other locations vary by geography and experience. This role may be eligible for bonuses, stock grants, and other components of total compensation. Compensation offers are determined based on multiple factors, including geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need. For more information about Workday’s benefits, please refer to the official disclosures. Primary Location: USA.GA.Atlanta. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $144,300 USD - $216,500 USD. Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $137,100 USD - $243,600 USD. Our Approach to Flexible Work: With Flex Work, we balance in-person collaboration with remote work.
