Overview
Manager, Alumni Affairs and Annual Giving The Manager of Alumni Affairs and Annual Giving plays a pivotal role in fostering lifelong relationships between the college and its alumni, students, and community partners. Reporting to the Vice President of Advancement & Executive Director, Broward College Foundation, this position is responsible for designing and executing strategic initiatives that enhance alumni engagement, support student transition to alumni status, and strengthen the college’s alumni network. Additionally, this position is responsible for planning and developing a creative and comprehensive annual giving program at Broward College. Minimum Education
Bachelor\'s degree required. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered. Minimum Experience/Training
Six years in alumni engagement or in student life, special events planning, communications and/or community engagement Essential Functions
Lead and innovate alumni engagement strategies, including virtual programming, social media campaigns, and recognition initiatives. Manage and evaluate strategically aligned revenue and participation goals for the annual giving program that generates unrestricted and budget-relieving revenue for the College. Collaborate with donor relations and stewardship team to design and facilitate effective donor stewardship for annual giving and alumni engagement identification, cultivation and stewardship. Coordinate alumni presence and branding at commencement ceremonies, including the development of branded materials and messaging to welcome new graduates into the alumni network. Develop and manage partnerships that provide tangible benefits to alumni, such as transportation discounts and career networking opportunities. Collaborate with internal departments, including Career Services and Marketing, to align alumni engagement with institutional goals. Maintain a consistent and dynamic alumni presence on the alumni.broward.edu website and on social media, spotlighting alumni achievements and fostering community pride. Analyze engagement metrics and adapt strategies to increase alumni participation and connection. Serve as the primary point of contact for alumni inquiries and outreach, acting as a one-person office with strong cross-functional collaboration. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proven experience in alumni relations, advancement, or related fields. Creative and strategic thinker with a track record of successful program development. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration across departments and campuses.
