The Gourmet Market General Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of our market, including the selection, development, and performance management of team members. Job Duties & Responsibilities

Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs. Train and develop all new FOH & BOH employees. Maintain a guest focus while performing duties. Ensure operational expenses and costs are in line with budgets. Be knowledgeable of budgets and adhere to the profits they reflect. Develop and train front of house staff. Delegate tasks for ordering supplies and follow up to assure accuracies. Perform weekly and monthly inventories and update beverage prices on a spreadsheet. Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances. Maintain a professional market image, including market cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards. Ensure positive guest service in all areas and respond to complaints by taking appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests. Implement proper security procedures to protect team members, guests, and company assets. Provide a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents, and complete accident reports promptly if needed. Assist in menu planning, development, and meal specials. Ensure proper cash management controls are followed by all F&B staff, as per policy. Manage shifts including daily decision making, scheduling, maintaining attendance logs, upholding service standards, product quality and cleanliness. Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service. Provide direction and communication to team members regarding operational information and procedural changes. Develop team members by providing ongoing feedback. Maintain an accurate plan of market staffing needs with trained, competent individuals. Be familiar with all policies, standards, and procedures of the department and with resort services, amenities, and outlets. Be available for work assignments outside of the manager’s customary schedule, including evenings, catering events, weekends, and holidays. Comply with all Store Market policies and procedures as described and communicated by management. Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations. Work effectively with Human Resources Director on proper documentation and performance management. Required Skills/Abilities

Exceptional customer service and managerial skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate. Education And Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration preferred. At least two years of experience in retail administration, preferably in market management, with increasing levels of responsibility required. Physical Requirements
