Overview
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for inventory management, control and improvement to ensure reasonable, economical and optimized inventory to meet production demand and maintaining accurate inventory counts of inventory items (Raw Materials, Sub Assembly, and Finished Goods). Department: Supply Chain Location: Valencia, California Workplace type: Onsite Employment Type: Full Time Reports To: Supply Chain Manager Key Responsibilities
Analyze inventory data to identify trends, outliers and areas for improvement. Review monthly demand forecast, open backlog, production plan, material plan to project and manage inventory by different location accurately. Optimize inventory structure by reducing obsolete/excess stock/slow movers and improve fast moving parts inventory level. Support Planning, Finance, Logistics functions for necessary process improvement. Monitor aging stock, track and publish the OOW inventory monthly and follow the updates. Communicate daily with Planning Supervisor, Production Supervisor and management on any inventory requirements. Work with material planner and production to set up SS and monitor it closely with timely highlight to avoid shortage or excess. Responsible for Daily Cycle Counts timely, tracking down inventory problems and following the solutions. Ensure Cycle Count accuracy and system inventory quantity accuracy. Responsible for Account Alias Approvals and transactions. Verify clerical computation against physical count of stock and adjust errors in computation or count, and investigate discrepancies. Stock and issue parts. Maintain an organized storage area for Raw Materials, Sub assembly and Finished Goods. Performs other related duties as assigned and comply with audit policy. Bachelors degree required Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Advanced Excel skills required Excellent knowledge of ERP systems and procedures; Oracle preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and similar software 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment including material planning Experience in an electronic component manufacturing environment preferred Ability to maintain confidential information All applicants must be eligible to work in the US without restriction to ITAR documentation and materials Treats people with respect; works with integrity and ethically, upholds organizational values Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The starting pay for this role is targeted to be $70,000 annually. Individual compensation decisions are based on factors including experience, location, schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers.
