The Intake Coordinator processes grant applications, verifies property and program eligibility, conducts database entry, and completes final application reviews. Supports reporting efforts and ensures timely, accurate processing of applications. Essential functions include: Reviewing, monitoring, and processing client cases involving services to City residents. Developing and recommending changes in program policies and procedures. Receiving and documenting referrals from management, outreach, and clients. Operating office equipment and software for correspondence, reports, and data management. Certifying documents and maintaining case files for audit and compliance purposes. Tracking application status, following up on missing information, and assisting sub-grantees. Generating reports on application trends and program data. Ensuring compliance with HUD regulations and internal policies. Conducting follow-ups with clients and working with outreach workers for smooth client transitions. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. One year of experience in coordinating, monitoring, and processing cases involving health, social, vocational, or rehabilitation services. Additional notes:
Final consideration may require criminal background checks, valid Maryland Class C driver’s license, and fluency in English and another language, depending on the position. Knowledge, skills, and abilities include:
Knowledge of public health, interviewing techniques, data collection, and report preparation; skills in maintaining confidentiality, motivating others, and effective communication; ability to establish effective relationships and handle crisis situations. This position requires completing a criminal background check and a mandatory six-month probation. It also involves completing a financial disclosure as per City Ethics Law.
