Overview

Director and Actuary within the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Governance team in Corporate Actuarial and Risk Management (CARM). You will have direct responsibility for key aspects of risk management including model governance and assumption governance, reporting of key metrics, targets and tolerances, development of corporate risk management policies and procedures, and supporting business units with product development, pricing and other actuarial functions. Occasional travel for planning purposes, team building, or conferences may be required. Responsibilities

Oversee risk management activities related to model governance, assumption governance, and reporting of key metrics, targets, and tolerances. Develop and maintain corporate risk management policies and procedures. Support business units with product development, pricing and other actuarial functions. Interface with the four main product lines and collaborate with the broader CARM team, including ALM, Actuarial Modeling and Actuarial Transformation. Prepare reports and occasionally deliver presentations to senior leadership (Chief Actuary, Chief Risk Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and other executives). Lead committees, events, and initiatives within the actuarial community. Approach business challenges from a broad corporate perspective and_remove barriers to achieve objectives while leveraging strong collaboration and communication across functions. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in mathematics, actuarial science, business or related field preferred. ASA designation, or equivalent, required with 7-10 years of actuarial work experience. FSA is preferred. Skills

Experience addressing significant and complex issues requiring evaluation of quantitative, qualitative, forward-looking and organizational factors. Proven leadership in key areas of responsibility and ability to act as a trusted resource within the division. Ability to provide guidance to top actuaries within the Product Group/Line of Business and understand analysis within their domain. Experience developing and executing on business needs within an actuarial function. Understanding of insurance product dynamics across retirement, annuities, life, and disability insurance (highly preferred). Experience with actuarial modeling, M&A, LDTI, asset adequacy testing and valuation (highly preferred). Proven success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives with enterprise impact.
