Summary

Our client, a well-known Top 100 Property & Casualty Insurance Broker, is seeking an experienced

Commercial Insurance Manager

to join their growing team. You will personally be responsible for handling a select few accounts, as well as overseeing and managing a department of roughly 10 account managers. Prior experience overseeing/managing individuals is required. You will provide a high level of client service to your accounts, manage the department, and ensure high retention, quality assurance, hiring, performance evaluations, and implementation of department goals. Position is open due to growth. Base pay range

$125,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr Location

Danbury, CT

(2x a week in office) Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations within the Commercial Lines Department including handling new business, delegating responsibilities to account managers, implementing workflows, auditing workflows, and ensuring a high retention rate for the book of business. Conduct routine audits for quality control and compliance. Responsible for hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Build and expand relationships with clients by addressing the client’s needs, including the identification and resolution of underwriting or policy issues. Manage the daily account management of client accounts, including processing policies / endorsements, invoicing, certificates of insurance, premium breakdowns, auto ID cards, policy changes, review of policy forms, providing coverage comparisons, loss analysis, and responding to coverage questions. Service & monitor accounts and disseminate account activity. Build and solidify relationships with carriers through interaction on assigned accounts. Manage the renewal process for all assigned clients including reviewing loss information, obtaining updated information, handling renewal applications, remarketing, account rounding, reviewing and negotiating the renewal pricing, and preparing the renewal proposal and binders. Document conversations and information provided to and for clients. Communicate and share information with fellow associates regarding coverage issues, market availability and market conditions. Utilize system capability (EPIC) to maintain complete and accurate data and documents. Requirements

Ability to go into office 2x a week Must hold an active NY/NJ P&C license Have at least 10 years experience working for a retail insurance broker Have at least 2-3 years of management/team leader experience The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
