Logistic Manager Last Mile role at Weee! is part of an onsite delivery operations team responsible for coordinating, managing, and optimizing last-mile routing, loading, and dispatching to ensure on-time delivery to customers. The role requires leadership to maintain high standards of operational excellence, team performance, and customer satisfaction. This role is onsite 5 days a week in Hodgkins, IL. Responsibilities
Delivery Logistics: Coordinate and prioritize delivery routes to optimize efficiency and minimize delivery times; collaborate with transportation partners, vendors, and suppliers to manage inbound and outbound deliveries; resolve delivery-related issues such as address discrepancies and missing items; ensure contractor and employee records are current for proper tracking of operations, accountability, and training; perform other duties as assigned. Safety and Compliance: Ensure safety regulations, guidelines, and protocols are followed by the delivery team; implement and enforce safety training and best practices for handling deliveries, especially for delicate items. Performance Metrics: Manage operating performance indicators (on-time delivery, overtime, loading rates, etc.) and performance relative to budget and financial goals. Team Development: Hire, coach, develop skills, recognize and manage performance, address employee concerns, and foster a positive work environment supporting teamwork and continuous learning. Communication: Lead and coordinate the workforce, maintain effective channels with internal stakeholders (Last Mile Leadership, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Product teams), and communicate delivery schedule changes and operational updates to the team and stakeholders. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) 10+ years of logistics-related experience 5+ years of last-mile delivery management experience Minimum 1 year of fleet management experience, including vehicle maintenance and compliance Regulatory and compliance knowledge (DOT, OSHA, labor compliance related to W-2 driver operations) Computer proficiency (Excel/Google Sheets) and operations reporting tools (Power BI or Tableau) Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate across departments Proven experience managing 50 or more drivers Ability to develop, implement, and optimize operational processes across last-mile delivery Vendor and contractor management experience Clear driving record without major violations Physical ability to lift or push up to 50 lbs as needed Nice To Have
