Job Title: Director, Job and Family Services Location: Cincinnati, Ohio Benefits

We serve the residents of Hamilton County in more ways than you may realize. The Director of Job and Family Services oversees the department’s major divisions and programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This role sets departmental policies, manages the annual budget, coordinates services with other social agencies, and serves as the primary liaison to media, government officials, and community organizations. The Director regularly reports updates to the Board of County Commissioners and County Administrator and performs related duties as assigned. Responsibilities
Within the framework of federal and state laws and regulations, determine policies for JFS. Engage in public relations with newspapers, radio, and television media, Ohio Job and Family Services representatives, county officials, and civic organizations. Coordinate public welfare services with other social agencies. Keep the Board of County Commissioners and County Administrator informed of major policy changes, issues, and other matters of importance to the department. Oversee the planning and administration of the Department of Job and Family Services programs, including preparation of the annual budget. Advocate and represent public welfare services with other social agencies and appropriate organizations involved with administering and enhancing job and family programs and services. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
A master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Political Science, Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Social Services, Social Work, or a related human services field is preferred but may be substituted with a bachelor’s degree and three additional years of relevant experience. Seven years of administrative/managerial experience with the preferred master’s degree, or ten years with a bachelor’s degree, including responsibility for managing fiscal operations and policy development; at least two years must be in a supervisory role over staff or contractors. Willingness to serve in an unclassified service as a condition of employment. Note:
