Our Consumer Facing Design Team creates exceptional travel experiences across Hotel Accommodations, Homes, Reviews, Content & Localization. We are focused on crafting a cutting-edge booking platform prioritizing choice, value, user-friendliness, and personalization for customers booking across our platform. Role responsibilities
As the Design Lead for consumer-facing products, shape and execute the vision for accommodation funnels that engage customers. Guide and inspire a team of designers; collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver seamless experiences. Balance user-centric design with business objectives and KPIs; advocate for user needs while aligning with company goals. Lead projects to define a long-term design vision with milestones and actionable steps. Manage scope of work for the team and determine how work is divided among designers. Drive design strategy for complex initiatives and grow design leaders. Ensure successful execution by addressing questions, bottlenecks, dependencies, and conflicts with stakeholders. Build a healthy, high-performing team; hire designers to fill headcount; foster a positive culture. Mentor direct reports to grow their competencies and careers. Represent the team to leadership, advocating for priorities and addressing misalignments or challenges. Partner with design leadership to shape management practices and mentor other design leaders.
