The salary range for this position is $19.28 - $25.06 (Hourly Rate). Placement within the salary range is dependent on relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range is guided by the rules outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.

Description

Hours: 40 hours per week

Evenings Schedule: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM (Monday - Friday; includes holidays as scheduled)

Location: Prentice; FL 07

Responsibilities

Follows standard work and methodologies around inventory, receiving, equipment, linen and mail.

Utilizes standard processes within WaveMark and PeopleSoft to maintain data integrity.

Uses problem solving to resolve complex or critical situations involving technology, customers, staff, and other supply chain personnel; consults with SC Leadership for guidance as needed.

Monitors daily activity to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Manages special projects as required.

Works with SC Leadership to develop and document standard work methodologies.

Ensures support of MDI and daily huddles.

Orders and delivers supplies and/or linen to user areas based on par level; identifies stock shortages and notifies management.

Conducts routine audits of supplies, linen, and equipment to ensure inventory accuracy and proper usage.

Identifies and documents discrepancies, expirations, shortages, or overstock; communicates findings to management and supports corrective actions.

Answers incoming calls from users identifying supply needs.

Represents the Supply Chain Department and participates in special meetings as directed.

Maintains a clean and safe work area; promotes safety in the workplace and proper equipment usage.

Notifies supervisor of equipment needing repairs; reports safety hazards.

Communicates issues to supervisor and is proactive in addressing deficiencies.

Establishes and maintains interpersonal relationships with hospital personnel while safeguarding patient confidentiality.

Uses resources efficiently and manages work schedule to complete tasks on time.

Contributes to opportunities for continuous improvement; participates in cost-reduction and process improvement efforts.

Provides accurate information and timely updates to patients and customers; offers directions or help as needed.

Demonstrates teamwork and effective communication; trains new employees on processes and policies.

May act as a resource in the absence of the Operations Coordinator or Supply Chain Manager.

Qualifications

Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent; or two years of relevant work experience in lieu of diploma.

Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff.

Computer literate; MMIS software experience preferred.

Ability to work independently and respond quickly under pressure; good organizational skills; critical thinking ability.

Physical Demands:

Lift/carry 50+ pounds and push/pull 50+ pounds. Extensive walking and walking time of 5+ hours per day.

Preferred:

Five years of work experience in a hospital or healthcare environment; knowledge of healthcare processes and supply chain; Associate degree; Lean/Six Sigma experience.
