Job Responsibilities
Provide supervision to assigned staff, including completion of evaluations in accordance with agency policies. Oversee administration, facilities management, and community relations. Develop activities both inside and outside of the house. Ensure consumers' diet and nutrition, including menu planning and weight records. Monitor consumers' health through contact with physicians, dentists, and other treatment personnel. Ensure that consumer program plans are followed. Obtain and maintain AMAP/CPR/First Aid/SCIP-R certifications. Provide direct care services as needed. Collaborate with educational programs to ensure continuity of treatment modalities. Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team. Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or traumatic brain injury preferred. Valid NYS driver’s license preferred. Working knowledge of OPWDD regulations. Familiarity with Justice Center requirements. Ability to handle emergencies professionally. Scope of Responsibility
Responsible for hiring, training, evaluating, and, in conjunction with the Director, terminating staff for the house. Supervise all staff members. Act as a resource to direct care staff. Conduct performance reviews for new direct care staff and annual reviews. Hold weekly supervision meetings with full-time direct care staff. Participate in monthly staff meetings. Meet regularly with the Clinical Team to monitor consumer progress and program effectiveness. Ensure all staff receive mandated in-service training. Conduct orientation for all new direct care staff.
