About the Role Uber is looking for an experienced executive to lead and drive Uber’s payments operations and the business and regulatory strategy. This role oversees the business performance of payments via success, growth, and cost savings metrics, as well as its ability to support and further enable Uber’s mobility and delivery businesses.

What You’ll Do

In collaboration with Uber's global leadership and employing subject matter expertise, define and implement Uber’s payments strategy

Oversee P&L performance, growth, and profitability targets

Work alongside the product organization and Uber's businesses in launching features and products that will drive growth in the payments sector of the business

Partner closely with Uber's mobility and delivery businesses to provide the right level of "service" from a Payments perspective

Support the growth of payments infrastructure and revenue in a highly crowded and dynamic space in this region

Closely collaborating with the Business Development team to design and implement the vital partnerships required for the success of payments

Build strong relationships with Uber's senior leadership in Product, Engineering, Business Development, Policy, Tax, Regulatory, and Strategic Finance to ensure the right level of support and collaboration

Build and lead a global high-performing team

What You’ll Need

Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in payments, financial technologies, or banking

Minimum 5 years of executive leadership experience

Experience building solutions in regulated industries in a fast-paced technology-savvy environment

Solid understanding and background in handling payment operations to maximize payment success at the lowest cost possible

Experience in managing relationships and proactive communication with internal senior leaders

Impeccable judgment, integrity, and ability to set an ethical example

MBA is a plus

English fluency

About the Team Uber’s Global Commerce Team is a core function and critical enabler of Uber. With operations in over 60 countries and more than $300 billion in annual payments, a global suite of financial services, $2.25 billion in annual fraud pressure and millions of users, the Global Commerce Team is central to the overall success of our entire organization.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$243,000 per year - USD$270,000 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$243,000 per year - USD$270,000 per year. For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$219,000 per year - USD$243,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of compensation. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
