Description
Provide early learning experiences in social-emotional, literacy, language, mathematics, sciences, social studies, physical education, fine arts, foreign language development, and other subject areas suited to children’s needs. Develop and implement individual educational plans supporting children’s social, intellectual, linguistic, physical, and emotional development appropriate to their age and stage. Establish a developmentally appropriate classroom environment conducive to growth and personal development. Conduct ongoing observations and authentic assessments, maintaining documentation of each child's progress. Collaborate regularly with the teaching team and Master Teacher to review data, develop action plans, and support goals. Work with family engagement specialists and other personnel to promote children's communication, health, physical skills, self-awareness, and literacy. Engage with parents directly and as part of an interdisciplinary team, developing activities to foster parent participation. Facilitate reflective supervision to manage classroom staff and volunteers effectively. Ensure programming adheres to all performance standards prescribed by funding and model requirements. Maintain a safe, healthy classroom environment; conduct daily health and safety checks; properly maintain equipment and supplies. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Associates degree or higher in Early Childhood Education and Infant Toddler CDA; certification preferred. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and family involvement. Experience with early childhood programs and policies. Ability to utilize and provide reflective supervision. Strong communication skills demonstrating cooperation, respect, and openness to change. Excellent command of English, both verbal and written. Ability to meet deadlines, stay organized, work under pressure, and prioritize tasks. Experience working successfully in multicultural environments serving vulnerable populations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Commitment to SCO’s mission and programs.
