Position Summary

Performcomplex and detailed administrative tasks for assigned courtrooms anddepartments under direct supervision.

PayGrade: 42

SalaryCommensurate with Experience and Education

Minimum Qualifications

1. Three (3) years of experiencein appropriate clerical bookkeeping, data processing or statistical work, withone (1) year as a Deputy Court Clerk with the Juvenile Court Clerk's Office;AND

2. Highschool diploma or possess a GED; OR

3. Two(2) years of experience in appropriate clerical, bookkeeping, data processingor statistical work; and one (1) year of college study (30 semester hours or 36quarters) from an accredited college or university; OR

4. Anequivalent combination of related education and /or experience.

5. PROOFOF EDUCATION, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.

Duties andResponsibilities

1. Prepares and maintainsdaily docket or calendar of cases to be called in assigned courtroom.

2.Organizes, routes and files court case folders and posts.

3.Secures information for judges, attorneys and litigants. Informs parties ofscheduled court appearances.

4.Provides information to various state and county offices as required.

5.Processes various types of legal documents for the courts and the public.

6. Scansand files legal documents received by the court.

7.Performs data entry. Records case dispositions and court orders.

8.Serves as primary contact for coordinating, collecting and processing courtfees.

9.Performs other related duties as required or directed.

KSAs

1. Knowledge of thevarious legal instruments issued by the court.

2.Ability to maintain an established system of records and files.

3.Ability to work with court officials.

4. Ability to use a personal computer

5.Ability to write legibly on legal documents and court files.

6. Goodcommunication skills and organizational skills.

7.Ability to perform accurate arithmetical computations.

Special Requirements

1. May be required to work evenings holidays andweekends on a rotational basis.

2. May berequired to work in a 24 - hour office.
