Safety Program Excellence & Implementation – Drive comprehensive safety programs through data-driven strategies. Lead daily safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments while implementing innovative solutions to prevent injuries. Deliver engaging safety training that resonates with associates and promotes a proactive safety culture. Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workplace safety while maintaining operational efficiency. Associate Advocacy & Cultural Leadership – Serve as a trusted safety advisor and advocate for associate wellbeing, building partnerships across the organization. Foster a culture where safety is everyone’s priority through effective communication, coaching, and positive reinforcement. Transform safety data into compelling narratives that influence positive change and drive engagement in safety initiatives. Responsibilities
Assist in maintaining and improving safety programs, audits, incidents investigations, and risk assessments. Promote a safety-focused culture and lead initiatives to protect associates. Collaborate with frontline teams and leadership to implement safety best practices. Additional Job Elements
Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts Work in environments with variable noise and temperatures Continuously climb and descend stairs (sites with stairs) Maintain effective care delivery in emergencies and assist emergency response Available to work flexible shifts including days, nights, and weekends If not already certified, obtain adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification within 3 weeks of start date Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910 Minimum 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) field OR Bachelor’s degree in an EHS-related field OR 6 months safety-related experience at Amazon Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel professionally Ability to maintain confidentiality in workplace matters Preferred Qualifications
Experience in workers’ compensation case management Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a safety-related field Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer focus skills Experience leading and managing a team, analyzing accident data, evaluating new processes and machinery for safety concerns, and conducting job hazard analyses Experience in emergency response and current First Aid and CPR certification Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based on protected status.
