Valnet\'s Screen Portfolio is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager with a proven background in ad sales for publishing networks and strong industry connections. The ideal candidate will have an extensive network of contacts at streaming platforms, networks, studios, and consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies, especially those with a keen interest in movies, pop culture, and gaming. This role is critical in building and maintaining partnerships that capitalize on Valnet’s entertainment brands and drive revenue growth.
Responsibilities
Develop and pitch sponsorship opportunities around exclusive events and content, including:
Shooting suites & coverage at TIFF, SDCC, Sundance, Cannes, NYCC and SXSW
Collider Profiles: photoshoot & career recap series with actors/directors
Collider Screening Series: pre-release screenings + Q&A with cast and directors
Original IP video series (Ladies Night, Challenge My GOAT, Coffee Chats, Debunking AI)
Awards coverage & Screen Awards prediction series
Lead Generation: Drive incremental direct advertising sales within the first year, aligned with benchmarks
Identify & Cultivate Leads: Research and target premium clients in Hollywood (streaming platforms, legacy studios, and CPG brands)
Sales Presentations: Deliver compelling pitches showing how the Screen Portfolio can elevate their marketing campaigns
Negotiation & Closing: Lead negotiations and secure sponsorships and ad deals, capturing a share of entertainment marketing budgets
RFP Participation: Position our brands to be consistently invited to relevant industry RFPs
Build and maintain long-term relationships with senior decision-makers at studios, streaming platforms, and brands
Leverage your network to accelerate partnerships
Work closely with editorial, video, marketing, and ad ops teams to deliver campaigns
Ensure sponsorships are flawlessly executed and meet client expectations
Track performance metrics and generate actionable sales reports
Provide management with insights on opportunities and strategy refinements
Experience and Skills
Proven Sales Experience: at least 3 years in advertising sales or partnerships, ideally in NYC or LA, with a focus on studios, streamers, or entertainment-related CPG
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of Hollywood, streaming platforms, entertainment marketing, and digital media trends
Established Network: Existing contacts within studios, streamers, or entertainment brands highly desirable
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written ability to pitch, present, and negotiate
Self-Starter: Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build from scratch and drive results independently
