Head Brewer

position is based at our Treasure Island facility, leading all production operations and overseeing a small but growing team. The Role

We’re looking for a creative, organized, and experienced Head Brewer who can lead production and help shape the next chapter of Woods. This is a full-time, salaried position with day-to-day responsibilities focused on brewing, quality control, team leadership, and production planning at our Treasure Island hub. Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and execute brewing and packaging across a 15 BBL brewhouse with 30 BBL fermenters and an extensive barrel program. Develop and refine recipes, incorporating feedback from tap rooms. Source and manage raw materials, including forward contracting hops, and maintain accurate inventory records. Build and oversee a QC/QA program (cell counts, viability, DO/CO2, packaged beer testing). Write and maintain SOPs for brewhouse, cellar, packaging, cleaning, and safety. Lead preventative maintenance and troubleshooting for brewery utilities and equipment (boiler, chiller, fermenters, packaging line, etc.). Manage workplace safety program, training, and compliance logs. Partner with Finance on accurate COGS, inventory, and compliance filings (CDTFA, TTB, ABC). Publish weekly pipeline reports and production updates for management and staff. Hire, train, schedule, and mentor brewhouse and cellar staff. What You Bring

5+ years of professional brewing experience in a production brewery or brewpub. Proven recipe development track record. Prior leadership/management experience. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with confidence troubleshooting equipment. Excellent organization and communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency with Excel/Sheets; familiarity with Ekos or similar brewery ERP software. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Physical Requirements

Safely move full kegs (~165 lb) with proper equipment/team lifts. Regularly lift and carry 55 lb malt bags and other heavy items. Comfort with extended standing, bending, and climbing in a brewery setting. Compensation & Benefits
