Foundry Solutions Engineer

Delta Air Lines is seeking a versatile and innovative Senior Foundry Solutions Engineer to support our flagship initiative, Project SOAR (Solution Optimization for Availability and Reliability). This role combines deep expertise in Palantir Foundry application design (Workshop, Ontology, Slate) with scalable development practices (pipeline integration, API services, cloud deployment) to deliver next-generation maintenance solutions across our fleet. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in SQL and Python, with experience in data pipeline development, optimization, and version control. This role requires expertise in designing and developing Workshop applications, familiar with Solution Designer, implementing Ontology structures, and ensuring application reliability inside the Palantir Foundry platform. Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To Design and develop robust, user-facing applications using Foundry Workshop and Slate Build custom integrations and APIs to connect Foundry outputs with enterprise platforms Collaborate with backend, AI/ML, and operational teams to align features with business goals Maintain code quality via version control, testing frameworks, and technical documentation Support deployment, monitoring, and performance tuning of Foundry applications Implement, test, and optimize data pipelines and Ontology-driven frameworks What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or PySpark Experience with Foundry tools including Workshop, Ontology, Pipeline Builder, and Object Explorer Familiarity with Slate, TypeScript, or JavaScript to build advanced UIs Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), APIs, and CI/CD pipelines Excellent collaboration skills and ability to communicate across technical and business teams 3+ years of experience in enterprise-scale application development What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications) Prior experience with Palantir Foundry in airline, defense, or logistics industries Knowledge of data governance, quality, and security best practices Experience deploying scalable systems using containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) Familiarity with Foundry AIP or support of AI/ML-driven analytics Benefits And Perks To Help You Keep Climbing Our culture is rooted in a shared dedication to living our values – Care, Integrity, Resilience, Servant Leadership, and Teamwork – every day, in everything we do.
