Alan B. Miller Medical Center opening in Spring 2026. A neighborhood hospital with medical center excellence, part of Universal Health Services (UHS) network in Palm Beach County. The campus will feature 150 private patient rooms, a medical office building, and a helistop, with initial phase totaling 365,000 square feet of hospital and medical office space. Services include Emergency Care, Orthopedics and Surgical Services, Labor and Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, Oncology, Cardiovascular and Neurosurgical services, and outpatient offerings in affiliated medical office buildings. Alan B Miller Medical Center and Wellington Regional Medical Center are acute care hospitals located in Palm Beach County, owned by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. The Market Director, Laboratory Service

is a strategic and operational leader responsible for overseeing clinical laboratory operations across multiple hospital sites. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and compliant laboratory services that support patient care, clinical excellence, and organizational goals. The Director will lead a team of laboratory managers, supervisors, and technical staff, fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include oversight of all testing and testing-related diagnostic laboratory services for the Palm Beach Market including Wellington Regional Medical Center, Alan B. Miller Medical Center, FEDs, Urgent Care Centers, and other services; developing strategic direction for laboratory services and overseeing quality, service levels, cost and operational integrity. Hires and trains departmental supervisors and managers. Education Requirements

An advanced degree in health care or business administration from an accredited institution (MHA, MBA, MD) is required. Experience

Minimum ten years of progressively responsible laboratory management experience. 10+ years of multi-facility laboratory management experience. Experience working with medical staff, administration, and nursing departments. Managed care, utilization and standing order experience preferred. Skills

Knowledge of information systems applications for laboratory management. General knowledge of Laboratory Management and its relation to daily hospital operations. Service oriented, strategic leader with quantitative, technical, and financial expertise. Strong leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to foster teamwork and mentor staff. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and supply chain systems. Certification/Licensure

Medical Technologist with ASCP or comparable certification required. Travel Requirements

Travel within the Palm Beach Market. Additional Responsibilities

Accountable for coordinating activities and providing clinical and administrative leadership in Laboratory Service departments. Responsible for fiscal, operational, and personnel management, budget development, and strategic planning aligned with organizational standards and guidelines (Joint Commission, AOA, Florida Department of Health, CAP, WRMC rules and regulations).
