Vice President, Process Excellence Solution Architecture We are seeking a dynamic Vice President, Process Excellence Solution Architecture who combines deep technical expertise in automation and AI with a strong process engineering mindset. This role requires someone who can design comprehensive technology solutions while maintaining a systematic enterprise approach to optimizing business processes and operational efficiency.

Location:

Newark, NJ hybrid (minimum 3 days/week in office)

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture: Design and architect end-to-end technology solutions that integrate automation, AI, and emerging technologies to solve complex business challenges

Develop technical roadmaps and solution blueprints that align with organizational goals and process optimization objectives

Create detailed system integration plans that ensure seamless connectivity between existing and new technology platforms

Lead proof-of-concept development and measurable validation of proposed solutions

Process Engineering & Optimization

Apply process engineering principles to analyze current state workflows and identify opportunities for automation and improvement

Design optimized business processes that leverage technology capabilities while maintaining operational excellence

Develop metrics and KPIs to measure process performance and solution effectiveness

Collaborate with stakeholders to map process flows and identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies

Technology Leadership

Evaluate and recommend automation tools, AI/ML platforms, and emerging technologies based on business requirements

Stay current with industry trends in robotic process automation (RPA), business process automation (BPA), intelligent automation, machine learning, cloud computing, agentic technologies and overall digital transformation

Provide consultative technical guidance to development teams and ensure adherence to architectural standards

Conduct technology assessments and feasibility studies for proposed initiatives with deep stakeholder collaboration, including comparative analysis of total cost to own (TCO) proposed solutions

Partner with business leaders, process owners, and IT teams to understand requirements and constraints

Facilitate workshops and design sessions to gather requirements and validate proposed solutions

Present solution concepts and technical recommendations to executive leadership

Serve as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience : Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; 7+ years of experience in solution architecture, systems integration, or process engineering; 5+ years of hands-on experience with automation technologies and AI/ML implementations

Technical Expertise : Strong understanding of process engineering methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, BPM); extensive experience with automation platforms (RPA tools like UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere); proficiency in AI/ML technologies, including natural language processing, computer vision, and predictive analytics; knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/automation services; deep understanding of evolving business technology trends; experience with integration technologies, APIs, and middleware solutions; understanding of data architecture, databases, and data pipeline design

Process & Analytical Skills : Proven ability to analyze complex business processes and identify optimization opportunities; strong problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to solution design; experience with process modeling tools and methodologies; ability to quantify process improvements and demonstrate ROI

Soft Skills : Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences; strong project management and organizational skills; collaborative mindset with experience working in cross-functional teams; change management experience and ability to drive adoption of new technologies; seasoned executive presence and consultative approach to drive strategic informed enterprise decision making

Preferred Qualifications : Master’s degree in engineering, Business, or Technology field; professional certifications in process improvement (Six Sigma, Lean) or solution architecture; experience with low-code/no-code platforms and citizen development initiatives; knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements; previous consulting or client-facing experience

What we offer you Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $171,500.00 to $232,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.

Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level.
