Lead, Service Management – Prudential Financial

Lead – Service Manager (9P). The Global Technology team focuses on digital transformation to enable innovation, speed, agility, scalability, and efficiency. This role emphasizes automation to enhance service delivery and operational excellence within the Document, Cloud and Development solutions organization. Responsibilities

Assess automation opportunities: analyze workflows and service data to identify high-impact automation areas, distinguishing between proactive root-cause changes and reactive automation. Design and develop an automation framework across the solution; deliver hands-on automation to address top issues for Level 1 support. Optimize business processes by reengineering workflows, reducing manual effort, and improving efficiency. Monitor performance and ROI: track automation metrics, reductions in issues, and cost savings; refine strategies accordingly. Engage with cross-functional teams to align automation initiatives with organizational goals. Ensure governance and compliance: establish standards, documentation, and controls for secure and reliable automation practices. Mentor and enable others: train team members and business users on automation tools; foster a culture of innovation and self-service. Stay ahead of the curve: research emerging technologies, trends, and best practices to evolve the automation strategy. Drive transformation: champion automation as a strategic lever for digital transformation, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. Skills & Expertise

Programming & Development: Java, Python, Spring or JavaScript Automation & Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket Knowledge of AWS Cloud Platforms; Containerization & Serverless Event-Driven Architecture: Kafka or Kinesis Document Management Technology: experience with enterprise-grade systems for documents across business functions Observability & Monitoring: metrics, logs, and tracing API & Microservices: REST, JSON Security: authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure traffic Decision-Making & Critical Thinking; Analytical thinking; Effective communication Vendor & Team Oversight; Agile Delivery; Process optimization What we offer

Salary range: $118,700.00 to $176,600.00, with location-based adjustments. Benefits include market-competitive base salaries with annual bonus potential, health/dental/vision insurance, PTO, 401(k) with company match, pension, wellness programs, and various work-life resources.
