Position Title: Senior LabVIEW Software Engineer- Orion EGSE Location: Highlands Ranch (Denver Area), CO Relocation Assistance: None available at this time Remote/Telework: Onsite at Lockheed Martin facilities in Denver, CO Work Schedule: 9/80 - Day shift (every other Friday off) Travel: Minimal Period of Performance: 1 October 2025 - 1 October 2026 Description of Duties: Aegis Aerospace is seeking a Senior LabVIEW Software Engineer to support our partnership with Lockheed Martin on NASA's Orion program-an advanced crewed spaceflight initiative. In this role, you will join the Orion Ground Software Test Set Operations team, directly contributing to mission-critical testing of spacecraft systems. The position centers on developing and sustaining LabVIEW-based Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) software for the Orion spacecraft. The candidate will: Design, develop, test, integrate, troubleshoot, and upgrade LabVIEW-based EGSE software modules for Orion Develop applications in NI LabVIEW, including LabVIEW FPGA and LabVIEW Real-Time targets Interface with and control test and measurement instruments (power supplies, DAQs, DMMs, switches, relays) Implement and maintain communication protocols including VISA, TCP/IP, and serial interfaces Work within Linux-based environments to support development and integration tasks Ensure compliance with software development standards and best practices across the full lifecycle Collaborate within Agile and DevOps workflows to deliver scalable, reliable solutions Support long-term system reliability and mission readiness for Orion test infrastructure Provide clear technical documentation and contribute to design and peer reviews Participate in team meetings to provide progress updates and coordinate with Lockheed Martin engineers Minimum Qualifications: Must be a U.S. Citizen Must have an active Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) certification (required) Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, or related discipline Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience (senior-level equivalent) outside of an academic setting Hands-on expertise with NI LabVIEW, including FPGA and Real-Time modules Experience developing test and measurement software for EGSE or related aerospace hardware Strong knowledge of Linux development environments Experience with software lifecycle practices (requirements, design, verification, validation, DevOps) Proficiency in communication protocols (VISA, TCP/IP, Serial) Experience integrating with test instruments and DAQ hardware Strong written and verbal communication skills Reliable and dependable work habits with demonstrated initiative Desired Qualifications: Experience with Orion program Master's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, or related discipline MATLAB/Simulink model integration experience General modeling experience Working knowledge of spacecraft design and components Experience working on government contracts Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Compensation: Salary Range: $100,000 - $145,000 annually.
