Responsibilities
Oversee aspects of multiple capital equipment projects, from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
Attend daily meetings to update management on the status of projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, engineering, operations) to define project scope, feasibility, and resource allocation.
Assist with the management of vendors and contractors to achieve project objectives.
Contribute to the validation process for assigned projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
Successfully transition completed projects to operations, providing comprehensive documentation and training.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with customers regarding project expectations, progress, and timelines.
Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels to gather information, facilitate decision-making, and ensure project success.
Develop and optimize line layouts and modifications to enhance production efficiency and safety.
Support the development of process flow diagrams in collaboration with the process engineering team.
Assist with establishing and maintaining equipment standards to promote consistency and reliability.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within capital projects.
Work with team on feasibility analysis.
Partner with the Program Manager to improve the project management system.
Perform other duties as assigned by management to support overall business objectives.
Qualifications Requirements for the Project Engineer:
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field; Mechanical or Chemical Engineering highly preferred
Minimum of three years of similar project management experience
Experience working in process-oriented manufacturing (such as chemical, food, beverage), including a blending/mixing process
Experience overseeing capital equipment projects, including timelines and budgets
Blueprint reading experience
P&ID experience
Working knowledge of Gantt charts
Microsoft Office
Skills (preferred but NOT required)
PMP certification
Consumer products manufacturing
Formal problem solving tools (5WHY or fishbone diagrams)
Power BI
