Overview

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer for the Sentinel program. This opening is in Roy, UT, Huntsville, AL, Colorado Springs, CO, or Bellevue, NE, and will support the Sentinel Program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure. As a full-time employee, you are eligible for our robust benefits package and a competitive salary. The standard work schedule is 9/80. Responsibilities

Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifacts. Work with technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature architecture content of large programs design. Help develop and incorporate appropriate requirements for the system and ensure they are properly represented in the model. Develop systems architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture (behavioral, structural, analytical). Contribute to system requirements development, management, and analysis. Develop unifying model techniques, procedures, and processes for model development, tool integration, and team integration. Basic Qualifications

Principal Systems Engineer: BS in STEM with 5 years of related systems engineering experience; 3 years with Masters; 1 year with PhD. Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance (investigation within last 6 years). Ability to obtain Enhanced Security Clearance as needed. 1+ years of experience with requirements management/analysis/allocations or equivalent graduate certificate. 1+ years of experience with Model-Based Engineering/MBSE practices and tools such as Cameo, Rhapsody, or MagicDRAW, or equivalent graduate certificate. 1+ years of experience with C2, physical security, cybersecurity, NC3 systems, communications, facility design, or military aerospace development. Sr. Principal Systems Engineer: BS in STEM with 8 years of related systems engineering experience; 6 years with Masters; 4 years with PhD. Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance (investigation within last 6 years). Ability to obtain Enhanced Security Clearance as needed. 2+ years of experience with requirements management/analysis/allocations. 2+ years of MBSE practices and tools such as Cameo, Rhapsody, or MagicDRAW. 2+ years of experience with one or more: C2, physical security, cybersecurity, NC3, communications, facility design, or military aerospace development (e.g., Sentinel, Minute Man III, B-2, B-21). Preferred Qualifications

Self-driven, able to tackle challenges with minimal oversight and recommend solutions/process improvements. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Understanding of the Systems Engineering V-Model. Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS). SysML or UPDM modeling languages; DoDAF, UAF or other modeling frameworks. 3+ years modeling with Cameo, MagicDraw, or similar tools; experience modeling large systems with multiple developers; exporting documentation from model-based environments. Experience in Software and/or Hardware design; documenting Interface Control Documents and related specifications. Experience with software-defined hardware structures and modeling/simulation programs (e.g., AF SIM). Experience with hypervisors, cross-domain solutions, multi-level security, or modular open systems approaches. Experience with Python scripting, Agile development, and ICBM weapon system sustainment engineering and integration. Benefits

The above salary ranges are guidelines; actual offers depend on the scope of the role, candidate experience, education and market conditions.
