CGI Partner | Recruiter/Consultant supporting Defense, Intelligence & Space / Retired Field Grade Army Officer Position Description CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Database Developer within our Intel sector, advancing the national security mission through cutting-edge technology. We are seeking individuals with a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging their knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities. The Database Developer designs, develops, and maintains database systems to support applications and business operations. Their responsibilities include creating and modifying database schemas, writing and optimizing SQL queries, and ensuring data integrity, security, and performance. They collaborate with other developers and analysts to integrate databases with various systems. This position is located in USA VA Arlington, a hybrid working model is acceptable. Key Responsibilities
Design efficient and scalable database structures to meet application and user needs. Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers. Develop and maintain data models and database schemas. Optimize database performance through query tuning, index optimization, and other techniques. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security through various measures. Work with software engineers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to integrate databases with applications and systems. Identify and resolve database-related issues, perform regular maintenance, and ensure smooth operation. Create and maintain documentation for database designs, code, and procedures. Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 to 8 years of experience. Able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Poly, active TS/SCI with Poly highly desired Strong command of SQL for querying, manipulating, and managing data. Experience with database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server. Understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques. Knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java, or .NET may be beneficial. Ability to analyze and resolve database-related issues effectively. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Ability to analyze data and performance metrics to optimize database systems. Compensation
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $100,000.00 - $150,000.00. Benefits
