Network Administrator , you will provide day-to-day support, monitoring, and maintenance of network infrastructure in support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Your responsibilities will include: Monitor and maintain FAA network infrastructure, ensuring uptime, performance, and security. Configure, install, and support routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices. Perform daily system monitoring, log analysis, and incident response. Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues, escalating when needed. Maintain accurate network diagrams, documentation, and configuration records. Implement patches, upgrades, and configuration changes in line with FAA standards. Support integration of FAA networks with modernization initiatives and new systems. Work with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with NIST RMF, FISMA, and Zero Trust requirements. Provide technical input for system security plans (SSPs) and compliance reviews. Support disaster recovery, backup procedures, and network resiliency testing. Qualifications : The ideal candidate will have: U.S. Citizenship Required. Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance. Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience or Masters degree and 10 years or or Associate's degree and 14 years' experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 16 years experience. Experience administering enterprise network systems. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and routing/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP). Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent network devices. Familiarity with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems. Experience monitoring networks with tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or equivalent. Hands-on experience with wireless LAN/WAN technologies. Preferred Qualifications : Direct FAA or NAS configuration management experience. Familiarity with FAA or federal network standards and compliance requirements. Experience supporting FAA, DOT, DHS, or DoD network environments. Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS. Familiarity with NextGen FAA modernization programs or air traffic systems.
