What You'll Do Groundswell is looking for experienced technical Appian consultants to provide integrated architecture support for our delivery teams and act as trusted advisors to our clients. Architects help scale our business by providing expert guidance on solution delivery and designing and integrating cutting-edge Appian solutions into our clients\' architecture. Architects mentor our delivery teams on best practices for advanced technical solutions and platform design, and implement internal processes and tools to improve the efficiencies of the business.

Who You'll Be Collaborating With Our Appian practice is led by Appian alumni with decades of total experience delivering mission-critical Appian solutions at scale, leveraging our award-winning solutions, component libraries, and foundations. You\'ll be teaming up with a diverse, enthusiastic, multi-disciplinary team of creative minds with a smart sense of humor.

What You'll Be Working On

Guide clients on architecture design, integration, scalability, configuration management, DevSecOps, and other program initiatives as needed to drive technical success

Work with client enterprise architecture teams to design and deliver solutions that fit their unique needs and ecosystems

Guide implementation teams through complex technical solutions with Appian and tangential technologies

Ensure solutions are built for scale and performance

Integrate multi-tier architecture through integrations and system configuration

Evaluate emerging or incumbent technologies for value and fit in client or back-office implementations

Create and document implementation best practices as well as knowledge base articles for internal enablement

Provide thought leadership on process improvement

Support internal solutions, infrastructure, and tools

Mentorship, training, and enablement of resources

How You'll Excel In Your Role

4+ years of experience with Appian solutions

5+ years of related IT experience

Bachelor\'s Degree (or equivalent) or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or related area

Active Appian Lead Certification

Strong experience with Agile delivery

Strong technical implementation skills

Strong database design and development skills

Experience evaluating and resolving issues found during system security testing

Experience with Appian Cloud configuration and support processes

Experience implementing Cloud, On-Premises, and Hybrid platform deployments

Experience in network infrastructure concepts and troubleshooting techniques

Strong communication skills and ability to convey complex concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing; active listening to gather key information; analytical and strategic foresight

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a high-paced environment, multi-task, and work independently or as part of a team

Hybrid position (on-site McLean VA / remote)

Must be a U.S. Citizen (no dual citizenship)

Active clearance or ability to be clearable

Experience Working In The Following Technologies Required

RDBMS (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)

Authentication (e.g., SAML, Kerberos, OAuth, LDAP)

Web services, Integrations and Middleware (e.g., RESTful/SOAP, Mule/IIB/Fusion)

Cloud Computing/IaaS (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

Source Control (e.g., Git, SVN, CVS)

Software troubleshooting and performance tuning

Experience Working In The Following Areas Is A PLUS

Programming/Scripting (e.g., Java, C++/C#, Perl, Python)

Data management and data visualization/BI

Content management (e.g., CMIS, Alfresco, OpenText)

DevSecOps

Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence

Networking concepts

Application Servers (e.g., JBoss, Tomcat, Weblogic, WebSphere)

Web Servers (e.g., Apache, IIS)

Operating Systems (e.g., Linux, Windows Server)

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $103,930.00 - $184,078.00
