ELECTRONICS: Adjunct / Substitute Instructor POOL (college credit)
– San Diego Community College District. This is a part‑time/temporary faculty pool used to fill adjunct/substitute teaching assignments on an as‑needed basis across district facilities. Location: District Wide • Position Type: Academic • Pay information: current salary schedule available online. Initial salary placement is contingent upon receipt of official transcripts and/or foreign degree evaluations as applicable. Important Notes
The San Diego Community College District accepts applications for adjunct (part‑time/substitute) positions for City, Mesa, and Miramar campuses and continuing education centers on a continuous basis. There is no guarantee of immediate openings. Applications are purged approximately one year after submission; re‑application is advised to remain in the pool. Eligibility and cultural competency: All applicants must demonstrate cultural competency and sensitivity to the diverse backgrounds of students and staff. Responsibilities
Primary duties relate to curriculum and teaching; assignments may be split between lecture and lab classes as determined by the department. Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines. Maintain professional conduct and ethics; stay current in the subject matter areas. Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part‑time/temporary faculty member. Teach all scheduled classes and maintain accurate records. Create and maintain an environment that emphasizes teaching and learning and encourages free discussion of ideas, interests and issues. Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Any Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of professional experience directly related to the area of assignment; OR Any Associate degree and six (6) years of professional experience directly related to the area of assignment; OR The equivalent. AND, Demonstrated cultural competency and understanding of the diverse backgrounds of community college students and staff. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
and related notes: If you do not possess the exact degrees, or anticipate receiving the required degree prior to teaching, complete a Request for Equivalency Form. Foreign degrees must be evaluated by a professional credential evaluation service and submitted with the online application.
