Core Group Resources Project Engineer – Dredging Job Summary We are seeking a Project Engineer to join a leading dredging contractor based in Houston, TX, with travel required to project sites as needed. This is a hands-on role supporting all phases of dredging and marine construction projects. The ideal candidate will either hold a relevant degree (e.g., Construction Management, Ocean Engineering) or have strong practical experience in marine/civil/heavy construction projects. Prepare and submit project submittals to clients Perform surveying tasks at project sites as needed Assist with project billing and invoicing to clients Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with day-to-day operations Submit daily reports to clients documenting project status and field activities Maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project or Excel Coordinate equipment, vendors, and materials throughout the project lifecycle Analyze past project performance to support continuous improvement Assist in bid estimation and proposal development Track equipment maintenance and ensure compliance with maintenance schedules Degree in Construction Management, Ocean Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred Candidates without a degree may be considered if they have relevant hands-on experience in construction, dredging, or marine projects Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Excel Strong organizational and communication skills Willingness to travel to project sites as needed Seniority level
