Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineer (T02) / Principal Systems Engineer (T03) for the Sentinel program. Location options include Roy, UT; Huntsville, AL; Colorado Springs, CO; or Bellevue, NE. Relocation assistance may be available. Clearance type: Secret. Travel: Yes, up to 10% of the time. What You’ll Get To Do
Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), development of requirements and multiple system engineering models
Performing customer requirements elicitation leading to Requirements Development
Coordination & collaboration with the System Engineering and Command & Launch Segment System Engineering Teams
Supporting system, segment, element and unit level trade studies
Definition of high-level functional and performance requirements and verification methods, subsequent analysis, decomposition, and derivation of requirements, allocation to architectural elements, and tracking through design, verification, integration, and operational validation
Supporting a team of engineers to create, mature and present technical charts for milestone meetings and readiness criteria
Identifying required contractual deliverables and non-contractual documentation and driving updates to closure
Coordinating with diverse engineering design teams to manage the technical baseline
Basic Qualifications Note:
This requisition may be filled at either the Systems Engineer level (T-02) or Principal Systems Engineer level (T-03).
Systems Engineer
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience (0 years with a Master’s degree)
Principal Systems Engineer
Bachelor of Science in STEM and 5 years of related experience; 3 years with a Master’s degree; 1 year with a PhD
Required For Both Levels
Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance, current and within scope, with ability to obtain/maintain SAP approval
Understanding of systems engineering principles and processes
Demonstrated communication skills and flexibility
Proficiency in MS Office
Preferred Qualifications
Current DoD Top Secret clearance with SAP access capability
Effective communication and presentation to project/program management, technical managers and customers
Experience using DOORS Requirements Management Database and CAMEO
Familiarity with Model-Driven Systems Engineering languages (SysML/UML) and CORE knowledge
Excellent technical writing and team-building skills
Subcontractor technical oversight experience

Salary ranges and benefits are provided for guidance. This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. The application period is approximately 20 days from posting, subject to change.
