Overview The Department of Transportation Services is looking for a
Maintenance Management Information Systems Specialist (Planner VI)
to oversee the development and implementation of the Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS) for rail, including the design, business rules, data requirements, access, privileges, and business processes.
Responsibilities
Oversee MMIS process improvements.
Ensure MMIS provides users with access to incident tracking, asset tracking, service request and work order tracking, maintenance planning, inventory, purchasing, warranty claims, key performance indicators, and reports.
Review project and program material requirements, analyze current inventory levels, and recommend additional ordering quantities and appropriate delivery schedules.
Ensure the Contractor is fully utilizing the MMIS, implementing new patches and versions, addressing MMIS issues, and ensuring system resilience.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities of the position.

Minimum Qualification Requirements At time of application, you must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
Education Requirement Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in information systems, public or business administration, or related field. Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States. A foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We may request further information about your academic program, evidence of comparability, or an original transcript. Verification: You must submit evidence of your Bachelor's degree to receive credit. Please attach an electronic copy of your diploma and/or official transcript showing the embossed seal or applicable FCE to your application. Alternatively, mail copies to: Department of Human Resources, 650 South King Street, 10th Floor, Honolulu, HI 96813. Unofficial transcripts will not be accepted. Copies will not be returned. All information must be legible and complete to receive credit. Substitution: Work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
Experience Requirement Four years of experience performing Maintenance Management Information System and inventory control work as a primary function, two of which must have been in a large public or private transportation organization.
