Job Description Role Overview:
The candidate will not own full end-to-end app experiences but will contribute to specific marketing-focused campaigns and user engagement initiatives.
Writing deliverables include: Push notifications; Full sheets; Bubble tips; Short-form digital ads.
Role requires balancing 3–4 projects at a time, depending on complexity.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret briefs from cross-functional teams (business, growth marketing, product).
Collaborate on strategy and copy execution for digital campaigns.
Develop concise, engaging, and user-friendly copy for in-app communications.
Align messaging with Client’s brand and voice across services like TV, Sports, Arcade, News, Music, iCloud, and Family Sharing.
Ideal Candidate Profile Experience:
3–10 years experience preferred, ideally ~5 years.
Portfolio is the most critical factor in candidate evaluation.
Prior work at companies with:
High user engagement apps
Behavioral change platforms (e.g., fitness, meditation apps like Headspace)
Subscription-based models
Media/entertainment platforms (TV, music, etc.)
Skills
Strong background in marketing copywriting for digital platforms.
In-app marketing experience is essential.
Exposure to UX writing is a plus (roughly 10–20% of the job) – candidate should understand button labels, user flows, etc., but this is not a pure UX writer role.
Able to communicate value props clearly in tight digital spaces.
Portfolio Expectations
Should include:
In-app writing samples (push notifications, full sheets, growth ads)
Social media marketing content
Short-form digital content
Web content is acceptable, but not sufficient alone – must include examples of concise, UI-based writing.

— We’re searching for a UX Writer to create new and better experiences across subscription services. In this role, you’ll work on growth projects spanning several services.
You’ll focus primarily on acquisition and retention, helping build customer journeys across multiple services. Role requires skill at both
marketing and UX writing . You’ll advocate for the user while also understanding the interests of marketing, business, and engineering groups. You should be comfortable offering and receiving feedback, and working closely with partners around the company. Day-to-day responsibilities will include: Crafting copy within existing tone, language, and design systems; Writing engaging headlines, push notifications, and other in-app touch points; Balancing customer goals, business requirements, and brand values; Collaborating with growth and business teams, as well as designers and other writers; Addressing feedback and improving performance of our content through experimentation and testing.
