Overview
Responsible for preparing treatment areas, assisting patients with exercises, and providing clerical support to the physical therapy staff. Responsibilities
Assist physical therapists with patient treatment plans, including preparing treatment areas and equipment. Provide hands-on assistance to patients during exercises and other therapeutic activities. Monitor patients' progress and report any changes or concerns to the physical therapist. Maintain patient records and treatment notes in an accurate and timely manner. Perform clerical duties, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and filing paperwork. Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures. Participate in continuing education and training to maintain current knowledge and skills. Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required Experience
Experience in a healthcare setting 1-2 years preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and their families. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills. Physical Requirements
