As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving projects forward using agile methodologies. Throughout the project lifecycle, you will track progress, collaborate with Engineering and Product counterparts to manage timelines proactively and resolve issues. You may also serve as the Scrum Master, facilitating agile ceremonies, acting as a servant leader, and creating reports to showcase team productivity. Responsibilities
Lead project planning, resource allocation, and monitoring to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget, utilizing agile principles. Motivate cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and deliverables, fostering a collaborative and agile working environment. Deliver technical projects on time, within budget, and with successful outcomes aligned to business objectives. Develop comprehensive project plans covering scope, deliverables, milestones, resource management, finance, and quality management in an agile context. Manage multiple projects/scrum teams simultaneously, ensuring effective adherence to Agile practices. Facilitate backlog grooming with cross-functional teams to establish clear priorities, understanding, and dependencies before sprint planning. Engage all organizations to ensure adherence to PDLC governance. Maintain and prioritize the requirements backlog, aligned with technical and operational needs. Collaborate with Product Management to drive sprint planning and set development teams up for success. Proactively remove impediments to ensure continuous workflow. Monitor and communicate project health, manage interdependencies, and define critical milestones. Conduct retrospectives, drive continuous improvements, and share best practices within the organization. Uphold the company's commitment to risk management and data integrity. Education & Experience
Qualifications
— Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) and Agile Certifications. Experience
— Minimum: 8 years of Agile, Scrum, project management, or related experience with a software development team applying Scrum principles. Proven track record of leading agile transformations at all organizational levels, including senior leadership. Proficiency with MS Project, Jira, and Confluence. Preferred: PMP and Agile Certifications (preferred). 10+ years’ experience in the Insurance industry managing Property / Casualty IT projects. Experience with Policy and Claims management platforms, with emphasis on Guidewire. Frequent travel to the Brea, California office is required; location proximity is considered a requirement. Skills & Abilities
Ability to influence without authority, negotiate effectively, and communicate across organizational levels, including senior leadership. Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and manage conflict; high emotional intelligence. About The Company
