Base pay range $27.00/hr - $33.00/hr
GIS Developer
Contract Duration: 12 months
Compensation: $27-33/hr
What you'll do as the GIS Developer:
Design and implement scalable REST API integrations to ingest large volumes of GPS telematics data while ensuring compatibility with existing event schemas
Develop and maintain processes to geolocate associates by job code and publish results to ArcGIS Enterprise for advanced data analysis
Update and enhance spatial analysis pipelines to support parameterized datasets and ensure flexibility for new inputs
Take ownership of commitment schedule maintenance, adapting data assets to meet evolving business requirements
Build stable, performant, and observable pipelines to automate maintenance of QSR Accounts and Associates data layers
Create and deploy ArcGIS Pro Python toolboxes to generate monthly commitment schedules, refining tooling with senior analysts as business needs change
Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver geospatial solutions that support territory planning, route optimization, and decision-making
Provide reporting, documentation, and technical support to drive adoption and consistency across GIS platforms
What you'll bring to the GIS Developer role:
Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Geography, or related field with 5–8 years of relevant experience (or Master’s degree with 2–4 years)
2+ years of hands-on Esri ArcGIS experience, including data development, manipulation, modeling, and analysis
Strong background in advanced analytics, data science, mathematics, or statistics applied to geospatial problems
Experience with relational databases (SQL) and spatial queries
Proficiency with ArcPy and ArcGIS API for Python
Strong coding skills with REST APIs, including authentication and large-scale data ingestion (asynchronous programming a plus)
Experience with IDEs such as VS Code, PyCharm, and Jupyter Notebook
Familiarity with ITIL, DevOps, GitHub, Scrum, and Agile methodologies
Experience working with Esri Geodatabases
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in complex, fast-paced environments
