Role Overview
A highly experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep expertise in
Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) solutions
and a strong background in the
healthcare payer sector . The SME will play a key role in advising, designing, and guiding CLM implementation strategies, ensuring alignment with payer business processes, compliance requirements, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
Act as the
primary subject matter expert
on CLM platforms and solutions within healthcare payer engagements. Analyze payer-specific contracting processes (e.g., provider, network, vendor, and member agreements) and translate them into effective CLM workflows. Partner with product, technology, and implementation teams to define solution requirements, workflows, and integration touchpoints. Provide
strategic guidance
on best practices, compliance (HIPAA, CMS, state regulations), and risk mitigation in CLM. Drive workshops with client stakeholders to capture requirements and define future-state contracting processes. Assist in solution design, vendor/product evaluation, and implementation roadmaps. Support change management by advising on training, adoption, and communication strategies. Benchmark industry practices and recommend process improvements to enhance contract governance and efficiency. Collaborate with sales/pre-sales teams in RFP responses, solution demos, and proposal development as needed. Required Qualifications
8-12 years
of overall experience, with at least
5+ years in the healthcare payer sector . Proven expertise in
CLM solutions
(e.g., Icertis, Conga, DocuSign CLM, Sirion, or similar). Strong knowledge of healthcare payer contracting processes, including provider and vendor contracts, reimbursement models, and compliance frameworks. Experience in
business process design, workflow automation, and integration
with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, Policy Admin). Familiarity with
U.S. healthcare regulations
(HIPAA, CMS guidelines, state compliance). Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex processes.
