As a Technical Support Engineer, you’ll be the front line for our customers, blending advanced technical expertise with hands-on problem-solving. What You’ll Do
Drive lab and field trials at Ekinops facilities or customer sites, proving the power of our solutions. Design, write, and execute test plans in collaboration with customers. Author and support Methods of Procedure (MOPs) to ensure seamless deployments. Lead customer installations, commissioning, and acceptance testing of DWDM networks. Deliver both formal and hands-on training on our transport platforms and network management tools. Provide exceptional technical support via email, phone, and the Ekinops support portal. Manage support requests in our ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction. Handle Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) from start to finish. Travel up to 50%, engaging directly with customers across diverse regions.
What You Bring
5–10 years of experience in Ethernet and/or DWDM circuit design, provisioning, or engineering. Hands-on expertise in a carrier or ISP environment. Knowledge of dark fiber, SONET, DWDM, IP, and switched Ethernet. Solid understanding of DWDM transmission parameters (NLE, OSNR, FEC performance, etc.). Proficiency with test & measurement tools: Optical Spectrum Analyzers, OTDRs, protocol testers, etc. Strong grasp of SNMP, troubleshooting methodologies, and MS Office. Excellent communication skills — you can break down complex issues clearly and effectively. Degree in Engineering with a specialization in DWDM optical networks.
