We are seeking a Platform Architect to own the Salesforce Cloud architecture for a portfolio of products and solutions built on Salesforce and MuleSoft, and to advise product teams on architecting, building, and deploying next generation Salesforce architecture solutions. The role supports a broad portfolio of Lockton’s application, data, and integration needs and collaborates with executive staff, business sponsors, and technical resources across teams. The Platform Architect will help set and align platform architecture direction with business strategies and lead the Salesforce Center of Excellence to maintain the Salesforce platform and related projects.

Responsibilities

Own the Lockton Salesforce Cloud architecture for a portfolio of products and solutions built on Salesforce and MuleSoft.

Advise product teams to architect, build, and deploy next generation Salesforce architecture solutions.

Serve as the go-to person for Salesforce Architecture supporting a broad portfolio of Lockton’s application, data, and integration needs.

Communicate ideas and information effectively with executive staff, business sponsors, and technical resources across teams.

Set and align Platform architecture direction with business strategies.

Lead the Salesforce Center of Excellence in maintaining the Salesforce platform and related projects/products.

Create reference architecture patterns for reusable application and data workloads across Lockton.

Help establish standards and governance for Salesforce and MuleSoft platforms.

Design secure, scalable, and reliable solutions including integration with Azure and AWS services.

Lead requirements gathering with clients and bring insights, ideas, and best practices into discussions.

Provide guidance in writing up requirements for development teams.

Design data structures, flows, processes, and declarative setups.

Monitor and stay on top of service updates from providers, coordinating with product teams on impacts and remediation.

Optimize Salesforce and MuleSoft cloud architecture for security, cost, stability, and monitoring.

Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud Architect to build monitoring and alerting for cloud services used by Salesforce.

Analyze and propose technical approaches to address challenges in Salesforce applications and MuleSoft APIs.

Partner with InfoSec to embed security controls in architectures and designs.

Support cloud requirement gathering and assist with vendor/product cloud-based selections, including RFPs and security/compliance audits.

Qualifications

BS or higher in Computer Science/Engineering or related field

10+ years of business process/technical experience

3+ years in Salesforce Architect or similar role

Deep knowledge of the Salesforce product suite (Sales, Service, Community, Marketing Clouds) and the Force.com Platform

Extensive experience with Salesforce configuration (workflows, validation rules, Process Builder, security controls)

Experience defining requirements, writing user stories, and providing detailed Salesforce designs

3+ years of MuleSoft administration and API development experience preferred

Active Salesforce Administrator & Architect Certifications

Strong ability to design technical solutions based on gathered requirements and Salesforce capabilities

Continuously maintains proficiency with cloud technologies to guide teams as capabilities evolve

Experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies

Experience working with external vendors and distributed teams
