The Distribution Analytics team is focused on driving distribution strategy and optimization for both T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile brands. Driving insights into action and action into value is a key value of the team. Specific areas of focus include sales substitution analysis, store profitability, and developing long-term distribution footprint plans including numbers of stores and geographic locations for retail stores. Additional areas of focus include cross-brand impacts to distribution, digital sales impacts to distribution, store operations insights, etc. Responsibilities
Extract, prepare and model large, complex data sets using a combination of skills, including machine learning theory, mathematics, statistics, and programming. Perform data mining and statistical analyses on ad hoc business problems. Define problems in mathematical terms. For example, “Why is product feature X underperforming?” and “What data on user behavior might help explain it?” Communicate important information and insights to business leaders using verbal, written, and data visualization skills. Education and Work Experience
Bachelor\'s Degree in a Quantitative Discipline (math, statistics, economics, computer science, physics, engineering) – Required Master\'s/Advanced Degree in a Quantitative Discipline – Preferred 2-4 years industry experience in predictive modeling, data science, and analysis in an ML engineer or data scientist role – Required 2-4 years experience with data scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R) – Required 2-4 years experience in data visualization – Required 2-4 years experience developing statistics-based analytics reports – Preferred 2-4 years experience in the telecom industry – Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Mathematics: Calculus, linear algebra, statistics, and probability – Required Programming: Working knowledge of Python and SQL – Required Machine Learning: Solid understanding of machine learning concepts and techniques related to supervised and unsupervised learning – Required Licenses and Certifications

Base Pay Range: $86,300 - $155,700 Corporate Bonus Target: 15% This pay range is for a successful candidate in the role. The actual pay will be based on factors such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so starting pay may vary within this range. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for bonuses or incentives based on role and performance. Some positions may have additional bonus structures.
