A-TEK is seeking an experienced and innovative

Appian Technical Solutions Architect

to lead the modernization, design, and implementation of secure, scalable enterprise applications for our federal customer. This pivotal role involves architecting and delivering mission-critical applications using the Appian low-code platform, including support for

Appian High (FISMA High)

environments. The successful candidate will provide strategic technical leadership, drive digital transformation initiatives, and ensure compliance with federal security mandates.

This position is remote. A-TEK is not currently sponsoring candidates for this position.

Responsibilities

Design scalable, secure Appian-based solutions including integrations with Salesforce, MuleSoft, and ServiceNow.

Manage Appian environment upgrades (e.g., Appian 25.1 migrations across Dev, UAT, Pre-Prod, and Prod).

Lead governance on application lifecycle management, DevSecOps pipelines, and CI/CD best practices.

Architect solutions leveraging Appian Portals, AI Skills, and Process Mining features

Implement FedRAMP and FISMA High controls across Appian applications.

Oversee incident response and change management processes through ServiceNow integration.

Drive modernization of legacy applications into low-code platforms.

Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting deployment, smoke testing, and rollback strategies

Serve as the lead technical interface with stakeholders & leadership during advisory sessions, demos, and sprint reviews

Leadership Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional architecture review sessions with customer leadership.

Mentor junior developers and support knowledge-sharing across teams.

Preferred Qualifications

7+ years in Appian solution architecture.

Appian Certified Lead Developer or Architect certification.

Strong understanding of government cloud security (FedRAMP/FISMA High).
