Overview The Boeing Company is looking for a Mid-Level System Design and Integration Specialist to join the team in El Segundo, CA or Hazelwood, MO. This role supports the Electrical Engineering IT Product within the Electronic Product domain and focuses on scripting, automation, Windows Server administration, and user support to ensure seamless operation and upgrades of the Siemens Xpedition tool suite and related applications.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scripts for package creation related to Siemens Xpedition upgrades and automate administrative tasks using Batch, Linux shell scripting, and Python

Perform general Windows Server administration to support application environments

Provide off-hours support for system upgrades and emergency outages as needed

Learn and become proficient in the Siemens Xpedition tool suite to assist users and perform administrative tasks effectively

Support complex applications and troubleshoot issues to maintain system stability and performance

Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal teams, external organizations, and suppliers to coordinate support and upgrades

Participate in the migration of infrastructure and applications to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud environment, including planning, execution, and validation activities

Help maintain and support the AWS Cloud infrastructure post-migration, ensuring reliability, security, and performance

Follow security and compliance requirements for handling sensitive data

Work within the Global Services and Engineering Process (GSEP) framework and apply ITIL best practices

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

3+ years of experience with COTS Integration in a Linux or Windows environment

3+ years of experience with supporting Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and/or other developed software applications

1+ years of experience with software programming/scripting (such as Python, Unix/Linux scripting, FORTRAN, C/C++)

1+ years of experience with MS Windows Server administration on physical and VMware virtual servers (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Active government clearance or ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI

Experience with Siemens Xpedition tool suite or similar complex application environments

Experience with ITIL frameworks or willingness to learn

Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, CloudFormation

Experience with supporting complex applications or systems; strong problem-solving and quick learning abilities

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Pay & Benefits: Boeing offers a Total Rewards package including base pay, incentives, and a comprehensive benefits program

Summary pay range: $102,000 - $147,200
