Business Application Analyst II - IS Business Apps - Full Time 8 Hour Days (Non-Exempt) (Non-Union) – Keck Medicine of USC, Hospital, Los Angeles, California. Under minimal supervision and guidance, the Business Application Analyst II will work with external vendors, system owners, community partners, contractors, and Keck Medicine leadership to design, develop, implement and support operational Business Application information systems, including but not limited to: Lawson Financials (Fin), Lawson Supply Chain (SCM), Kronos Timekeeping and Scheduling, Kronos Extensions (aka Optilink), Kaufman Hall Budgeting and Planning, and Strata Decision Support Solution (DSS). They will identify and document design specifications based on analysis/assessment of user needs and generate need-gap analyses. The role includes acting as an application administrator by ensuring data integrity, maintaining system security, extracting, analyzing and transforming data, facilitating user/vendor communication, and managing software upgrades, implementations and/or conversions. The incumbent will understand the functional workflows of supported Departments to maintain system functionality and design in support of workflow efficiency and user/department productivity. The analyst will focus primarily on direct customer services while also participating in project activities, and will analyze, plan, design, create and maintain simple to intermediate level reports using USC technologies including SQL, QlikView, Lawson BI, Infor BI, and Kronos Genies. The role may involve independent work on system activities and project management activities. Responsibilities

Customer Service: Addresses customer questions, concerns, enhancement requests, communicates with customers, handles service problems and tickets politely and efficiently, always available for customers, follows procedures, utilizes problem solving skills, maintains pleasant and professional image. Customers may include internal department users, vendors, and peers within IS. Solution Design and Development: Analyze events, documentation, requirements and needs to design and develop solutions to meet organizational needs. Help formulate scope and objectives. Utilize analytical and problem solving skills to propose recommendations and solutions to department leaders. Performance Improvement/Transformation/Innovation: Participate in performance improvement activities, pursue business transformation, and use innovation to enhance/solve current system and workflow problems. Act as a subject matter expert for department functions related to implementing and managing systems. Technical Skills and Industry Knowledge: Assist with system activities (project and operational support), understand application build, design, and technical infrastructure, maintain knowledge up-to-date, serve as a technical resource, follow IT practices and standards (e.g., ITIL). Knowledge of industry best practices, regulations, and evolving technologies. Team Work and Project Management: Help establish project goals, milestones and procedures; work on projects, monitor task progress, and manage multiple projects. Lead own work efforts and manage time and budget for projects. Reports & Analytics: Generate standard and ad hoc reports; design and develop non-standard/custom reports as required. Training: Train new staff on applicable systems/applications; coordinate with customers/vendors for training on new systems being implemented and rolled out. Other Duties and On-Call: Fulfill on-call requirements and other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications

Req Bachelor\'s degree in Information Systems, Business, Science OR equivalent work experience. Req 3 years relevant experience. If no Bachelor\'s degree: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience. Req 2 years Experience in IS healthcare setting. Req Good organization skills with ability to prioritize multiple activities in a rapidly changing environment. Req Strong customer service focus. Req Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Req Demonstrate excellent customer service behavior. Req Excellent analytical, problem-solving, planning and evaluation skills. Req Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Req Able to function independently and as a member of a team. Preferred Qualifications

Pref Familiarity and experience with Kronos, Lawson, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Finance and/or Procurement/Supply chain experience (purchasing, inventory, warehousing, accounts payable), and/or Human Capital Management and/or Payroll processing. Required Licenses/Certifications

Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City). If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and renewed before expiration (Required within LA City only). Hourly rate range for this position is $39.00 - $63.95.
