This position supports a variety of Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Navy (DoN) Communications and GPS Navigation programs. Travel may be required to customer and subcontractor sites as well as other office locations. The MBSE role requires deep expertise in MBSE methodologies and tools (such as Cameo/MagicDraw) and knowledge of DoD acquisition processes to develop and maintain digital system models throughout the lifecycle. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and stakeholders to ensure design integrity and compliance with government standards. A U.S. national security clearance is required (active or ability to obtain).
Accelint and its affiliates provide technical, cybersecurity, logistics, and program management support to DoD, DoS, and allied government customers.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain system architecture models using SysML and MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo/MagicDraw, Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect)
Facilitate the development of Black Box and White Box models in accordance with DoD and NAVWAR standards
Work closely with program engineering teams to identify data needed for models, select the appropriate MBSE tool, and enter data into the MBSE workspace
Integrate MBSE approaches with traditional systems engineering practices and digital engineering frameworks
Translate stakeholder requirements into system models and technical specifications
Participate in or lead technical reviews, model-based design efforts, and system verification/validation planning
Collaborate with software, hardware, and integration teams to align models with implementation and testing
Support DoD acquisition documentation and milestone reviews (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR)
Ensure models comply with DoD standards (e.g., DoDAF, UAF, MIL-STD-881, NIST 800-160 Vol 1/2)
Prepare technical documentation and present modeling results to stakeholders, including government clients
Maintain configuration control of models and support versioning and reuse strategies
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in systems engineering with at least 2 years in MBSE roles.
Proficiency in MBSE tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw, Rhapsody, or Enterprise Architect.
Experience with Black Box and White Box modeling and development.
Experience with SysML and formal modeling techniques including Black and White Box Models.
Familiarity with DoD systems lifecycle (DoDI 5000.02, JCIDS, etc.) and C4I engineering processes.
Experience supporting DoD programs (Army, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, or OSD).
Active Secret clearance required.
Bachelor's in systems engineering, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Clearance & Compliance Clearance Information:
Some positions will require access to U.S. National Security information. Positions that require this access will be required to receive and maintain a U.S. government personnel security clearance (PCL). In order to qualify for this position, the candidate must be a US Citizen and either currently possess this National Security eligibility or be able to complete the investigation application process with a favorable determination and maintain that eligibility throughout their employment.

Salary Range:
$120,000-159,871. The listed pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this position for the location for which it has been posted and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
