Accounting Manager

LHH is seeking an Accounting Manager for a leading valuation and consulting firm based in Dallas, TX. This onsite role is within the real estate and financial services industry and involves overseeing core accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, month-end close, and financial reporting. In addition to having 4–6 years of full-cycle accounting experience, the ideal candidate will hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. A CPA is preferred but not required. Responsibilities Lead the full accounts receivable and accounts payable cycles, ensuring inquiries are addressed promptly and accurately. Supervise and validate the daily posting of customer payments and oversee weekly vendor disbursements. Manage and ensure timely execution of the month-end close process, including accurate reconciliations and journal entries. Oversee preparation, review, and consolidation of internal financial statements and performance reports. Perform detailed variance analysis on financial results compared to budgets, forecasts, and prior periods. Support both the annual audit and budget processes by preparing schedules and assisting with financial documentation. Provide guidance and mentorship to accounting staff and communicate effectively across various levels of the organization. Collaborate on special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Controller and Assistant Controller. Client Requirements Minimum of 4–6 years’ experience handling full-cycle accounting duties. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a closely related field; equivalent experience may be considered. CPA certification is a plus but not required. Must possess strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail. Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset.
