Position: Release Engineering Contractor(Only W2) Minimum 8+ Years of Release Engineering Experience Must have: Jenkins pipeline, multi-environment - AWS, OPENSHIFT, any VM Job Description: Responsible for designing the infrastructure landscape to support software application development and delivery. Engage regularly with software solution architects to understand technologies and infrastructure needed to support software solutions. Position Overview: We are seeking an exceptional Release Engineering contractor to join our team and drive continuous improvement in our CI/CD practices. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can manage complex deployment pipelines across diverse environments while mentoring the team. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins (CloudBees preferred) Manage release workflows across multiple technology stacks (Java/Spring Boot, Python, Angular) Orchestrate deployments across AWS services, on-premises OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), and VM environments Implement and optimize containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes Integrate security scanning tools and vulnerability assessments into CI/CD pipelines Manage Tomcat cluster deployments and Spring Boot application releases Optimize performance across multi-OS environments (Linux, Windows, macOS) Lead pipeline automation initiatives and establish security-first best practices Mentor team members and facilitate knowledge transfer Challenge existing processes and drive continuous improvement Troubleshoot and resolve complex deployment issues across diverse platforms Required Technical Skills: CI/CD Expertise: Advanced Jenkins experience (CloudBees platform strongly preferred) Spring Boot application deployment and configuration Tomcat cluster management and optimization Maven/Gradle build systems Multi-Technology Proficiency: Java, Python, and Angular application deployment Security Integration: Security scanning tools (SAST/DAST/SCA), Vulnerability assessment and remediation Cross-Platform Operations: Linux, Windows, and macOS environments, Platform-specific optimization Containerization: Docker and Kubernetes orchestration Performance Optimization: Application and infrastructure performance tuning Pipeline Management: Complex workflow design and optimization Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (preferred), CloudFormation, or similar tools Version Control: Git, branching strategies, and release management Hands-On Approach: Direct involvement in implementation and troubleshooting Go-Getter Mentality: Proactive problem-solving and initiative-taking Teaching Ability: Strong communication skills and passion for knowledge sharing Change Agent: Comfortable challenging status quo and driving improvements Team Enhancement: Focused on elevating overall team capabilities Preferred Qualifications: 8+ years of release engineering experience AWS certifications (DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect) Security certifications (CISSP, CEH, or similar) Tomcat administration and clustering expertise Experience with security scanning tools (SonarQube, Snyk, Veracode, Checkmarx) Performance monitoring and APM tools experience Experience with monitoring and observability tools Success Metrics: Reduction in deployment failures and rollback frequency Improved pipeline efficiency and build times Enhanced team knowledge and self-sufficiency Implementation of industry best practices Measurable improvements in release velocity Astir IT Solutions, Inc. is an equal opportunities employer.
